Alfonso Mancera

Alfonso Mancera, age 68, passed away on August 19, 2019 in McAllen, Texas.

Mr. Mancera is a retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Nieves Mancera.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Norma Hernandez Mancera; children, Cynthia Mancera (Daniel Frausto) and Alfonso Valentin Mancera (Adriana Dominguez); step-daughters, Perla Lissette Hernandez Cristobal and Johana Arlene Hernandez Cristobal; step-grandson, Emilio Hernandez Cristobal; siblings, Luciano Mancera, Teresa Mancera, Ana Gonzalez, Lydia Mendiola, Maurilia Paez, Tina (Bob) Triskett; mother of his children, Gloria Mancera. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Gamez & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A Chapel service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in Gamez & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Followed by Military Honors provided by Fort Sam Houston. Funeral Home opens at 7:00 a.m. Cremation will be held at a later date.

Interment will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the City Cemetery.
