Alicia Quintana
February 13, 1937 — July 14, 2016
Alicia “Lita” Quintana, 79, was called by the Lord on July 14, 2016.
Lita was quite accomplished and passionate about the arts. She was a majorette during high school and became nurse at an early age. Lita also owned her own restaurant and loved baking and making flower arrangements. But above all Lita loved to sing and even recorded by the name of Lita Ruiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe & Felipa Quintana, son, David Ybarra, and brothers: Guadalupe, Roberto, & Rudy Quintana.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Libby (George) Ruiz, Clara Ybarra & Alice Michelle Ruiz, grandchildren: George Ruiz Jr., Lisa Ruiz, Mona Vera, JoAnna Montiel, David Silva, Angela Ybarra, Sarah Camargo, Abraham Ybarra, numerous great-grandchildren, husband, Enrique Ruiz Mendoza, caretaker, Raquel Villarreal, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, July 16, 2016, from 10am to 1pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Liturgical Service will commence at 1pm.
Funeral services are under the arrangements of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, TX 78043.
