Angelina Aguilar

March 3, 1942 — July 16, 2020

Angelina (Chachi)  Aguilar, 78, peacefully passed away on July, 16, 2020 sorrounded by her family in Laredo, Texas.

Angelina was born and raised in Laredo, Texas where she resided most of her life. Angelina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to cook, especially large meals for her family while listening to her favorite music. She loved to garden while watching the hummingbirds circle around her. Most of all she loved spending time with her husband weather out in the backyard or on the lake fishing.

Mrs. Aguilar is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Anaya and Ruben Lerma Anaya; siblings, Roberto Anaya, Ramon Anaya, Santiago Anaya, Rene Anaya, and Adelaida Torres.

Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life, her husband, Homero Aguilar Sr. of 58 years; children, Elia (Scott) Whitworth of Fort Worth TX., Angelica (Samuel) Munoz of Wilmar MN., Hilda (Guillermo) Soriano of Laredo, TX., Homero (Aida) Aguilar Jr. of Laredo TX., Daniel Aguilar (Ana Arriaga) of Laredo, TX., Jose Jesus Aguilar (Roxana Alvarez) of Laredo TX.; sister, Alicia Lopez of Chicago, IL. She had 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Her grandsons will have the honor to be her pallbearers; Miguel (JR) Aguilar, Jose (J.J) Aguilar, Guillermo Soriano Jr., Daniel Aguilar Jr., Richard Aguilar, and Scott Whitworth.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 departing at 10:30 a.m to San Jose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
