Arturo Gomez, 68, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio & Guadalupe Gomez; daughter, Nora Alicia Gomez; siblings, Paulino Gomez, Cristoforo Gomez, Dora Sylvia Gomez, Antonio Gomez Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Juana Socorro Gomez; children, Arturo Gomez Jr., Raquel (+Jesus Uvaldo) Gomez; siblings, Roberto (Benita) Gomez, Paulino (+Manuela) Gomez, San Juana (+Herb) Schwager, Miguel Angel (Carmen) Gomez, Alejandro (Theresa) Gomez, Juan Francisco (Juanita) Gomez; sister in law, Manuela Gomez; grandchildren, Jessica (Rolando) Jacobo, Jesus (Mariana) Uvaldo Jr., Maria J. Uvaldo; great grandchildren, Julieta Jacobo, Nahyeli Jacobo, Arlette Jacobo,  numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. where a chapel service will recite at 8:00 a.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Procession will depart at 9:00 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow directly to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Arturo Gomez Jr., Miguel A. Gomez, Jose Angel Gomez, Edwin Prew, Paulino Gomez, Jesus Uvaldo Jr., Rolando Jacobo, Jaime Cadena, Rudy Cegueda.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if the funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
