Our beloved sister, Celia Esther, has journeyed to Heaven where she has reunited with her parents, José and Celia Martínez, her grandparents, Manuel and Concepción Álvarez, her nephew, Ricardo Andres Martínez, and other beloved relatives, neighbors and friends.
She is survived by her siblings, Anita, Dolores, and José Eduardo Martínez, her sister-in-law Alicia Reinmund-Martínez, nephew René Daniel Martínez, and first cousins Rodolfo, Adriana, and Carlos Álvarez, and many second cousins in Monterrey, México.
Celia Esther worked as a secretary before she returned to college where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Education from Texas A&I University at Laredo. She enjoyed her years with LISD at Zachery Elementary from where she retired.
May our beloved sister, Celia Esther, rest in peace, and may she save a space beside her for her three siblings that hope to someday reunite with her - together again.
The family will gather to celebrate her life on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez and Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be offered at 7 pm, led by the A.C.T.S. Brothers and Sisters from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
