Eduardo M. Aguilar, 86, earned his Angel Wings on October 27, 2017 at The Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veteran’s Home, in Floresville, Texas. Eduardo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.
Eduardo was preceded in death by his loving parents Valeriano & Estella Aguilar; his siblings: Rebecca Lopez, Emma Hurtado, Arturo Aguilar, Jose Aguilar, and Valeriano Aguilar; his sons: Eduardo Aguilar Jr, Fernando Aguilar and Gabriel Aguilar. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Concepcion Aguilar, his children: Rosa A, (Ricardo) Delgado, Gerardo Aguilar, Armando (Raquel) Aguilar, Anna Laura (Gerardo Montemayor) Aguilar, E. Margarita (Mark) Joachim, George (Rebecca Briones) Aguilar, and Adrian (Yvette) Aguilar; his loving grandchildren: Amalia Delgado, and Ricardo A. Delgado Jr.; Armando Aguilar Jr., Andy Aguilar, Araceli (Chris) Collins; and Aaron Aguilar; Jacob Joachim, Sophia Joachim, and Joshua Joachim; Eduardo A. Aguilar, Marcos Aguilar, Daniel Aguilar and Carolina Aguilar. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Eduardo proudly served in the Army during the Korean War from August 6th, 1952 thru August 5th, 1954 attaining the rank of Corporal. He was awarded the National Defense Medal and was honorably discharged. Eduardo went on to work for the U.S. Post Office for 40+ years. At his retirement he was inducted into “The Million Mile Club” for Outstanding Performance in driving one million miles without a preventable accident (National Safety Council). Eduardo had a high regard for his role as a Letter Carrier, with an almost perfect attendance. He was well known in the numerous Laredo communities where he delivered mail.

Tejeda Texas State Veteran’s Home, in Floresville, Texas for providing excellent care while he was in their care; Dr. Mosaab A. Hasan, in Floresville, Texas; Dr. Javier Roman-Gonzalez and Dr. Jamil A. Malik @ Cardiovascular Consultants; and Dr. Edward Wolf @ Peripheral Vascular Associates for providing excellent treatment and follow-ups in San Antonio, Texas.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will recite at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 4, 2017, from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1718 San Jorge Ave, Laredo, Texas 78043) where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00am.
Funeral services are under the arrangements of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
