Elizabeth "Liz" Elender, 60, lost her fight to cancer on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Liz would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, and reading to her heart’s content. Laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her loved ones to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George "Tiny" & Maria "Cuquita" Elender.

Left to cherish her memory is her brother, George James Elender, sister, Janet (Efrain) Villarreal, nieces: Janet Lee Villarreal, Melisa (Michael) Banks & Patricia (Steven) Quiñones, nephews: Richard Elender & Alan Villarreal, grandniece, Alana Alexsandra Villarreal, other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, May 27, 2017, from 5pm to 9pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a Liturgical Service will commence at 7:00pm. A cremation will be held at a later date.

Funeral services are under the arrangements of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, TX 78043.
