Emilio Rivera Jr.

Emilio Federico Rivera Jr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Rivera is preceded in death by his parents Emilio Federico Rivera Sr. and Maria Antonia Flores Rivera; sister, Maria Antonia Rivera Treviño.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Margarita Stephanie Rivera; children, Stephanie Elizabeth Rivera, Stephen Emilio Rivera, Seth Elias Rivera; granddaughter, Sophia Emma Elizabeth Rivera; children, Clarissa Adriana Rivera, Federico Emilio Rivera III; grandchildren, Roberto Emilio Garza, Anyssa Lynette Garza, and Alexa Rochelle Rivera; sisters, Nancy Rivera (David) Cardwell and Esther Rivera (Ruben) Vidaurri Jr. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Military honors will be provided by the Fort Sam Houston Honor Guard and the Laredo Veterans Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Emilio Rivera, Seth Elias Rivera, Roberto Emilio Garza, Ruben Vidaurri III, Daniel Vidaurri, Ralph Treviño, Pete Badillo, and Joe Gamez.

Honorary pallbearer will be Stephanie Elizabeth Rivera, Sergio Vidaurri, and Bobby Garcia.

Funeral services are  under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
