Ernesto Serna, Sr.

Mr. Ernesto Serna Sr., 67, entered into the gates of heaven on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in the presence of his beloved family at his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Leopoldo H. and Guadalupe Serna; daughter: Selina Serna.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife: Estela Serna; children: Kristina (Erlin Melgar) Serna, Ernesto (Esmeralda) Serna Jr.; grandchildren: Andres Quinones III, Audrey Brianne Quinones, Regina Alessandra Melgar, Mark Iruegas, Alejandro Hernandez, Jordan Devon Serna, and Jayden Eli Serna; sibilings: Jesus (Bertha) Serna, Victor (Susana) Serna, Yolanda (+ Candelario) Garza, Patricia (+ Jorge) Moncivais, Blanca (Roberto) Cantu, Maria Antonieta (Juan) Cantu, Magdalena (+ Felipe) Melendez, Delia (Angel) de Leon, Leopoldo (Juana) Serna, Mary (Rodolfo) Benavides, Javier Serna, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 9:10 am on Friday, September 2, 2022 to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers wil be: Andres Quinones III, Ernesto Serna Jr., Jesus Serna, Victor Serna, Erlin Melgar, Jose Muñoz, Manuel Ochoa, Manuel Ochoa Jr., Jordan Devon Serna.
