Flavio Torres, 96, passed away on January 2, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela P. Torres; parents, Jose & Herminia Torres.

Left to cherish his memory is his children, Juan (Gabina) Torres, Dolores Torres, Tomasa (Reyes) Alvarado, Ezequiel (Margarita) Torres, Adolfo Torres, Francisco (Jovita) Torres, Rosario (Hugo) Carrete; 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings, Pedro (Amelia) Torres, Manuel (Lazara) Torres, Enrique (Rosa) Torres, numerous other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. procession departs at 8:30 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
