Francisco Magaña, 76, passed away on December 27, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Flor Estela Magaña; daughter, Maria Luisa Magaña; siblings, Agustin Magaña, Maria Socorro Magaña, Maria Gonzalez.

Left to cherish his memory is his children, Francisco (Myrna) Magaña Jr., Ramona Magaña, Maria Magaña (Saul Gutierrez), Jorge Magaña, Gilberto (Elsa) Magaña, Antonio (Sylvia) Magaña, Juan Magaña, Pedro (Alma) Magaña, Pedro (Juanita) Magaña, Ruben Magaña, Monica (Ricardo) Aguilar, Veronica Magaña, Sylvia (Francisco) Venegas, Raul Magaña (Roxanna Flores); 43 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; siblings, Quirina Magaña, Eulalia Magaña, Maria Luisa Magaña, numerous other family, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, from the funeral home to Nuestra Señora del Rosario Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Procession departs at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Juan Magaña, Antonio Magaña, Jorge Magaña, Gilberto Magaña, Raul Magaña, Pedro Magaña, Pedro Magaña, Francisco Magaña.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
