Ignacio Melendez Jr.

Ignacio "Nacho" Melendez Jr., 29, our beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed away on January 7, 2022 in Laredo, Texas. "Nacho" as he was known by his family and friends, was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tomas & Jovita Garcia; paternal grandparents, Jaime Melendez & Maria Del Socorro Padron de Melendez; uncles, Juan Rangel Jr., Carlos Martin Garcia, and Pedro Rangel.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 14 years of marriage, Selina Rocha; children, Natalie Melendez, Ignacio Melendez III, Jasmine Melendez, Alizah Melendez, and Isaiah Melendez; father, Ignacio Padron Melendez Sr; mother, Diana Rangel; siblings, Rene Antonio Lucio Jr., Juan Jorge (Evelia) Lucio, Raphael Douglas (Alice Canales) Canales, Jaime Valentine (Elizabeth Escalera) Melendez, Eduardo Nazrio (Maria Angelita Hernandez) Melendez, numerous other family members and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be held  at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Friday, January 21, 2022, from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m. and departs at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
