Mr. Joe John Gamez, 70, entered into the arms of the Heavenly Father on March 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family by his side. Joe John served his country proudly in the US Army. He called Laredo home for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elvira Rodriguez; sister, Yolanda Gamez.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Maria (Ray) Farias, Miguel Garcia, & Guadalupe Garcia; nieces, Jessica Rodriguez, Kathy Rubio, Eva Gonzalez, Melinda King, Patsy Garcia, Maria Garcia, Raquel Farias Cheatle, Dianna Farias Simien, Cristina Farias Huerta; nephews, Mike Garcia Jr., Adam Garcia, Lupito Garcia Jr., Timothy Garcia, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary being offered at 7:00 pm.
Funeral procession will depart at 8:40 am on Saturday, March 11, 2023 to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Funeral mass to be celebrated at 9 am.
Interment with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran's Columbarium.
Pallbearers will be: Alvaro Gonzalez, Simon Rodriguez, Simon Angel Rodriguez, Adam Garcia, Mike Garcia Jr., Lupito Garcia Jr., Armando S. Rubio, Joseph Johnson.
