Jorge Ruiz

Jorge Ruiz, 93, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend was called to his eternal resting place on January 30, 2022 surrounded by his family. He entered this world on May 4, 1928, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and had been a lifelong resident of Laredo.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Macias; sisters, Antonia Rios and Maria Perez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years of marriage, Maria R. Ruiz; children, Martha Ruiz (Thomas) Thompson, Adalberto (Jennifer) Ruiz, Jose Ruiz Sr., Alfredo (Mary Jo) Ruiz, Maria (Mario) Gonzales; grandchildren, Mark (Kenya), Samantha (John), Jonathan (Anyssa), Ashley (Jerry), Eric, Savana (Sebastian), Matthew, Aiyana, Elyse, and Jose "Ricky" Jr.; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jazlynn, A.J., J.J., Damian, and Zayden, numerous other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
