Jose A. "Chepe" Gutierrez, 50, was called by the Lord on March 11, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roberto Gutierrez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sonia Gutierrez, children: Jessica Esmeralda Gutierrez, Jose A. Gutierrez Jr., Karla Gutierrez, Osvaldo Gutierrez & Jennifer Gutierrez, parents, Antonio & Maria Esther Gutierrez, 8 grandchildren, siblings: Antonio Gutierrez, Laura Gutierrez, Nora Gutierrez, Gabriela Gutierrez & Araceli Gutierrez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession departs at 8:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
