Jose Guadalupe Puente, 79, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wenceslao & Antonia Puente; children, Jose Guadalupe Puente Jr., Antonia Puente; siblings, Refugio Puente, Pablo Puente, Demetrio Puente, Mercedes Puente, Felix Puente, Antonio Puente, Espiridiana Guel, Juana Garza, Isabel Puente.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Petra R. Puente, children, Maria Angelica Ramon, Martin Puente, Jesus (Maria Elena) Puente, Ruben (Veronica Vela) Puente; siblings, Hilaria Rodriguez, Aurelia Villanueva; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020, funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to Santo Nino Catholic Church where a mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m.

Interment will follow directly to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if the funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
