Jose Juan Merino, 54, was called by the Lord on March 7, 2021

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Adriana Merino, children: Akinary Merino, Francisco Merino, Beatriz Merino, Jose J. Merino Jr., Cristal Merino, Emmanuel Merino & Santiago Garcia, 3 grandchildren, father, Juan Merino, mother, Genoveva Pimentel, siblings: Josefina Merino, Mayra Merino & Eduardo Merino, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession departs at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
