Jose R. Gonzalez, 73, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe & Elvira Gonzalez; siblings, Ramon Gonzalez, Reynaldo Gonzalez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, San Juana Gonzalez; children, Juan Jose (Oscar) Gonzalez, Patricia Gonzalez, Diana (Pablo) Gonzalez, San Juana Vanessa (Martin) Garcia; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Ricardo (Dalfia) Gonzalez, Raquel (Manuel) Hurtado, Rene (Julia) Gonzalez, numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. Procession will depart at 10:00 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to Holy Reedemer Catholic Church where a mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Cremation will be held at a later date.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if the funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
