Juan Antonio Molina Jr., 51, was called by the Lord on January 23, 2021.

Juan was born on October 5, 1969, in Laredo, TX. After his father’s passing in 1994, Juan became one of the owners and took leadership of South Texas Neon Signs Co., INC founded in 1963. He was a loving husband, father & brother. An avid outdoorsman, Juan was the Scout Master for Pack, Troop & Crew 203 of Laredo, TX. Among many things, he served as a UISD Board member, was a member of CERT, a proud coach and LBJ Booster Club President. Simply put, Juan was always ready to volunteer and give back to the community he cherished. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Juan A. & Manuela Molina.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Veronica Molina, children: Juan Antonio Molina III, Alexys R. Molina & John E. Molina, siblings: Maria Christina (+Reymundo) Alejandro, Leticia (Gerardo) Lira, Maria A. Molina (Antonio Gonzalez), Bertha (Gregorio Jr.) De La Cruz, & Jose Luis (Dorthy) Esparza, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to meet at the church.  Pallbearers will be: Ricardo A. Castillo, Gregorio de La Cruz III, Ulysses Gonzalez, John E. Molina, Gabriel De La Cruz, Ismael Espinoza, Miguel Vela & Jose Luis Gutierrez.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
