Leopoldo Lecea, 85, was called by the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eliza B. Lecea & brother, Jesus Lecea.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Leopoldo (Sylvia) Lecea, Jr., Ruben (Leticia) Lecea, Arturo (Belinda) Lecea, Javier (Ana) Lecea, Leticia (Pedro) Rios & Gustavo (Tanya) Lecea, siblings: Rebecca (+Pedro) Sanchez, Teresa Cantu & Juan (Olivia) Lecea, 27 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 5pm to 9pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will commence at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00am. Military honors, provided by the US Army and the Veteran's Honor Guard, will follow immediately at the Laredo City Cemetery's Veteran's Section. Pallbearers will be: Leopoldo Lecea, Jr., Leopoldo Lecea, III, Ruben Lecea, Arturo Lecea, Javier Lecea, Gustavo Lecea, Pedro Rios, Luis Lecea & Javier Lecea, Jr. A cremation will be held at a later date.
