Maria Jovita Garza

The Lord has called Maria Jovita Garza, 77, formerly of Lehigh Acres, Florida, to his Heavenly Kingdom on October 22, 2024, in Hebbronville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Benito H. Garza; parents; Teodoro and Maria de Jesus Canales; siblings: Ramon Gonzalez, Urbano Gonzalez, Adan Canales, Pablo Canales, Armando Canales, Lauro Canales; grandchildren: Brianna Garza, Sara Elizabeth Garza, Armando Garza, as well as 2 great-grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Fernando Molina, Susie (Joe) Ramos, Oscar (Maricela) Lopez Jr., Fidel (Irene) Garza, Tony (Sonia) Garza, Willie (Raquel) Garza, Minerva Garza, Benny Garza Jr.; a great number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Rosendo (Dora) Canales and Jose Mario Canales, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will gather on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 5 to 7 pm at Gamez and Sons Funerals and Cremation Services, where a Liturgy of the Word will be held at 6:15 in the evening.

A cremation will be held at a later date and her cremated remains will be interred in the family plot at the New Hebbronville Cemetery at a date to be announced.
