Maria de Jesus Terrazas

Maria de Jesus Terrazas, 81, entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father on October 7, 2023, in Laredo, TX.

She is preceded in death by her father, Maurilio Terrazas; mother Josefa Vargas de Terrazas; daughter Sonia Elizabeth Cedillo; brothers: Maurilio, Florentino, Alvaro, and Rafael Terrazas. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Blanca E. (Oscar) Perez, Patricia M. (Hector) Tijerina and Alexander J. (Esperanza) Martinez;  brothers: Ramon, Blas, Ceferino, and Arturo Terrazas; grandchildren: Christine (David) Perez-Gomez, Jessica (Antonio) Peña, Danny Perez, Gavino Cedillo IV, Kimberly Ann Cedillo (Sean Rahmani), Alexander D, Christopher J, Amy L Martinez, Stephanie (Patrick) Overman, Samantha (Enrique) Alvarado, and Jonathan Ibarra; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Anthony, Megan, and Jaxon Peña, Zion Xavier Lozano, Gavin Overman, and Katherine Alvarado as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

As per her request, please wear colorful attire for the service. No black attire or as she would say, “al que se vista de negro para mi funeral le voy a dar un estiron de orejas!”

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Prayer Service will be offered at 7:15 pm.

All services will conclude at the end of visiting hours and a cremation will follow at a later date.
