Maria Verino

Maria Victoria Verino, 89, was called by the Lord on November 19, 2018.

Mrs. Verino worked with the Laredo Independent School District for over 30 years where she was loved by everyone who encountered her. She was a devoted Christian and volunteered her time in helping the elderly and embracing them with her prayers.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ambrosio Rios, her parents: Francisca and Lorenzo Verino, sons, Reynaldo Vela and Joel De Hoyos, brother, Juan (+Rosa) Verino and Jorge (Lupe) Verino.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Ricardo (Veronica) Rios, Ambrosio Rios, San Juanita (Ricardo) Garcia, Norma (Fernando) Garcia, Daniel (San Juanita) Rios, Maria de Jesus Rodriguez, and Lydia Rodriguez, brother, Vicente (Irma) Verino, sister, Lydia Verino, daughter-in-law, Mari Cruz Vela, 29 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a chapel service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from the funeral home to Iglesia Buen Pastor Asamblea De Dios where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. A cremation will be held at a later date.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
