Maria De Jesus Martinez Gutierrez, 75, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Uvalde, Texas.

Mrs. Martinez Gutierrez, is preceded in death by her husband, Ovidio Martinez Martinez; parents, Jose & Cesaria Gutierrez; brother, Arnulfo Gutierrez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ovidio (Claudia Sylvia) Martinez, Jose Angel (Nancy) Martinez; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Maria Martinez, Ernestina (Reynaldo) Perez, Asuncion Gutierrez, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services were a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m.  Procession will depart at 9:00 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to Nuestra Senora del Rosario Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow immediately to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
