Maria de Lourdes Parra

Maria de Lourdes Parra, 58, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Parra is preceded in death by her parents, Norberto & Francisca Parra; siblings, Lilia Parra Hortega, Exiquio Parra Hortega, and Rosario Parra Hortega.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda (Duane) Gayle, Raquel Alba, Lauro (Hetzy) Alba Jr., Nicolas Juarez; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Maria Gonzalez, Rita Almanza, Dora Alicia Parra Hortega, Norberto Parra, nieces, nephews, numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services were a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020, funeral home doors will open at 7:00 a.m. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately to the Laredo City Cemetery departing at 11:00 a.m. from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
