Maria Leonila Benavides de Tejeda, 74, passed away on December 16, 2020 in Laredo, Texas

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio & Francisca Benavides.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Alejo C. Tejeda; children, Rosa Elia (Martin) Muñoz, Norma Idalia Tejeda, Ana Maria Rodriguez, Alejo (Fustina) Tejeda; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Guillermo Benavides, Hector Hugo (Maria Luisa) Benavides, Marcos (Sylvia) Benavides, Eduardo (Carmen) Benavides, Francisco Javier (Lourdes) Benavides, Ofilia Tijerina, Leonor (Marco Antonio) Benavides, Lorenza (Jaime Arturo) Martinez, Corina (Frank) Rizo, Diana Laura (Arturo) Campos, Norma Isabel (Enrique) Bolaños, numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services where a prayer service will be recited at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if occupancy levels are met.
