On October 13, 2023, our beloved Marina de la Garza, 43, entered into God's heavenly kingdom and is now at rest in the presence of the Almighty. Marina was born on June 28, 1980 in Eagle Pass, Texas, the daughter of Ponciano & San Juanita de la Garza.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Lorenzo & Adelfa Flores; paternal grandparents: Gabriel & Ofelia de la Garza; aunt: Maria de Lourdes Flores.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son: Lorenzo de la Garza; parents: Ponciano & San Juanita de la Garza; brother: Jose (Diane P.) Ruiz Jr.; aunts and uncle: Ana (Pedro) Ortegon, Lorenzo (Ana Maria) Flores, Adelfa Flores, Martha (Carlos) Peña, Victor (Lydia) Flores, Olga Flores, Irma Ruiz, Ofelia de la Garza, Francisco Javier (Vienna) de la Garza, Raquel de la Garza, as well as numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Rafael Dominguez.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 16, 2023. Doors will open at 8 am and will be departing the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am to Sinai Presbyterian Church located on 420 Washington St.
All services will conclude at the church and a cremation will take place at a later date.
