Mario Alberto Peña, 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose & Maria Luisa Peña; brother, Juan Jose Peña; great grandchild, Angel Carreon

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mario A (Juanita) Peña Jr., Monica (Angel) Peña, Ana L (Willmer) Peña, Cecilia (Jose) Peña; Love of his life, Maria Chapa; grandchildren, Mario Peña III, Lupita Y Peña, Selena C. Peña, Kassandra Peña, Felix A. Peña, Gerardo Galvan, Leslie M. Galvan, Kayla L. Galvan, Rene Peña, Alexandra C. Galvan, Brianna A. Hernandez, Rolanda A. Garza Jr., Haylie M. Garcia, Ricardo Y. Peña, Jordan J. Peña; great-great grandchildren, Jayden Carreon, Jayleen Carreon, Damian Carreon, Dariel Sanchez, Arleen Galvan, Kaylee Crispin; siblings, Jose Luis (Rosa) Peña, Roberto (Donna) Peña, Rogelio Peña, Ana Luisa (Ricardo) Perez, Guadalupe Garcia, Leticia Peña.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 9:00 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, to Nuestra Señora del Rosario Catholic Church for the celebration of the Mass at 9:30 am.

Services will conclude at the church. Cremation will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Mario A. Peña Jr., Wilmer Hernandez, Jose Lopez, Felix Peña, Mario Peña III, Rolando Garza Jr., Gerardo Galvan Jr., Rene Peña.
