Norberto Olivares

Norberto Olivares, 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres & Irma Olivares; son, Reymundo Olivares; brother, Jorge Olivares.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lydia Olivares; children, Norberto Olivares Jr., Lydia Olivares, Roy Andy Olivares; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Andres Olivares, Margarita (Javier) Sanchez, numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Funeral home doors will open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. where a chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow directly to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if the funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
