Ramona Hernandez

Ramona Garcia de Hernandez, 78, was called by the Lord on November 7, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Enedina Sanchez, husband, Israel Hernandez, & son, Elihu Hernandez.

Ramona was born on January 19, 1943, in Bustamante, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, where she was raised by her loving aunts: Josefina & Manuela Sanchez. After immigrating to Laredo, TX she graduated from Martin High School in 1961. Ramona worked for over 35 years at Richter's Department Store in downtown Laredo and at Mall del Norte. She was a devoted mother & grandmother, and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her children: Israel Hernandez Jr. (Maria Teresa), Gamaliel Hernandez (Claudia), Elda Hernandez (Leonel Vasquez), & Elhim Hernandez (Diana E. Mercado), numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 11 am to 10  pm.

Cremation will be held at a later date.
