Ricardo Javier Rivas Jr.

Ricardo Javier Rivas Jr., 34, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Rivas is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maria de los Angeles Reyes and Rogelio Saavedra; paternal grandfather, Miguel Rivas.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Dora Alicia (Desiderio) Garza and Ricardo Javier Rivas Sr.; sister, Lorena Rivas; nephew, Jose Luis Veliz Jr.; nieces, Daleyza Veliz and Ximena Veliz; paternal grandmother, Marianela Rivas. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gamez & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019, from the funeral home to Santo Niño Catholic Church where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m. and a procession departs at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Juan Medina, Salvador Carrizales, Antonio Tovar Jr., Edwin Tovar, Alejandro Deveza, Luis Carrizales, Gerardo Garza, and Israel Medina.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.
