Sergio Hernandez

Sergio Hernandez, 65, passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2023, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria de Jesus Martinez Hernandez.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Enrique Hernandez; stepmother, Soledad Hernandez; siblings, Jorge Hernandez, Aroldo (Naty) Hernandez, Mary (Jorge) Charles, Alberto (Erika) Hernandez, Henry (Vanessa) Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez; his nephew/little buddy, Mateo Villarreal, who was like a brother to him. His numerous nephews and nieces, K.C. Charles, Orlando Charles, Theresa (Joey) Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez Jr., Anisa A. Gonzalez, Alisa Hernandez, Alessandra A. Hernandez, Yadirah N. Hernandez, Joel E. Hernandez, and numerous other extended family.

Sergio enjoyed the great outdoors, in particular fishing and hunting. He lived in Nappanee, Indiana with childhood friends for many years before retiring as a welder and fabricator and returning to Laredo, in January 2017.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, where a Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm.

Cremation will be held at a later date.
