Sotero Olivares Jr.

Sotero Olivares Jr., 73, passed away on December 11, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam and Korean Wars.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Alicia Olivares; parents, Sotero & Maria de Jesus Olivares.

Surviving him are his children, Juan Ramon Castillo Jr., Alicia (Juan) Garcia, Sotero (Leslie) Olivares III, Dulce Olivares, Adan Olivares; grandchildren, Enrique Garcia, Amy Garcia, Amanda Castillo, Mia Castillo, Juan Ramon Castillo III, and his pride and joy, Alicia Lee Rangel; siblings, Alma Olivares, Guillermo Olivares, and Sergio Olivares, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitations will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 8 to 11:30 am at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Prayer Service will be held at 11:30 am.

We will depart from the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am to the City of Laredo Cemetery for a graveside service at 12:00 noon.
