Susana M. de Tovar, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Tovar Sr., son, Guillermo Tovar Jr., parents, Juan & Maria de la Luz Muñiz; siblings, Sixto Muñiz, Anita Garcia.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Maria T. (+Francisco) Renteria, Sylvia (Mario) Solis, Saul (Maricela G.) Tovar, Hugo Tovar, Isabel C. (Juan Pedro) Garcia, Juan Gerardo (Dinora) Tovar; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Eusebia Perez, Teresa Muñiz, Francisco Muñiz, Esteban (San Juana) Muñiz, Alfredo Muñiz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gamez and Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from the funeral home to Santo Niño Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Procession departs at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Saul Tovar, Hugo Tovar, Juan Gerardo Tovar, Francisco Renteria, Jr., Mario Solis, Jr., Juan Pedro Garcia, Jr., and Charlie Martinez.

Funeral services are under the arrangement of Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry.
