Our gracious and ever-loving Lord has called his beloved disciple, Sylvia Sermons, 63, on January 18, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1961 in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Maria Olga Fernandez, her father that raised her: Antonio C. Gonzalez, brothers: Roberto Sermons and Martin Jesus Gonzalez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her mother that raised her: Sylvia F. Gonzalez; siblings: Gerardo Antonio Gonzalez, Cynthia (Juan) Ledesma, nieces and nephews: Jesus Cantu, Juan M. (Sue Ellen) Ledesma Jr., Alejandro Jesus Ledesma, Jennifer Alexis Ledesma, Marco Antonio Ledesma, grandnephew: Derek Ledesma and his mother Vanessa Moreno, grandnieces: Holly Ledesma, and Summer Ledesma, her beloved four legged companion: Rusty, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

We would like to express our most sincere gratitude to her primary caretaker who became like family, Vanessa Aguillon, who faithfully took care of her during the past 3 years; Las Alturas Nursing and Rehabilitation, Oscar Bretado with Laredo Hospice and Staff.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Gamez and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm. The funeral service will commence at 7 pm.

A cremation will take place at a later date.
