He is preceded in death by his father, Mauricio Fernandez; mother, Consuelo Perez; siblings, Fernando Fernandez, Martin Fernandez.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Mauricio (Maria de Jesus) Fernandez III, Elva Fernandez (Gary) Warren, Rene Fernandez; siblings, Arnulfo Fernandez, Jorge Fernandez, Maria Guadalupe Fernandez, Armando Fernández, Sanjuana Gonzalez, Victoria Gonzalez, Jose Manuel Gonzalez, Maria Angelita Gonzalez, Sanjuana Aurora Gonzalez, Consuelo Gonzalez; grandchildren, Sebastian Fernandez, Crystal Guadalupe Fernandez, Alyna Barrientos, Mauricio Fernandez IV, Gabriel Fernandez, Valerie Fernandez, numerous other relatives, and many friends.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 am on Friday, February 24, 2023 to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
