Mr. Tomas Lara, 86, entered into rest on January 29, 2023 in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by his family at his side.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Carmen Lara; son: Jose Luis Lara; daughter-in-law: Sylvia Lara.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children: Tomas (Rosario) Lara, Rosa Maria (Magdaleno) Palacios, Rodolfo Lara, Maria Concepcion (Jose) Ayala, Roberto (Maria Teresa) Lara, Juan Manuel (Maria) Lara, Maria Eugenia (Ricardo Camacho) Lara, Marco Antonio (Diana) Lara, Israel (Julissa) Lara, Maria Elena (Ricardo) Vela, Gilberto (Beatriz) Lara; 48 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Luis Lara and Ernesto Lara, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 5 to 9 pm at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
The funeral procession will depart the chapel at 9:30 am to St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 2, 2023 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
