Tomas Sanchez Longoria

Tomas Sanchez, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Cruz and Rebecca Sanchez; wife, Maricela Sanchez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Laura Sanchez; children, Tomas (Nancy E.) Sanchez, Cesar Sanchez, and Rogelio (Diana Rivera) Sanchez; step-sons, Juan De Dios Ventura Casiano, and Alejandro Ventura Casiano; grandchildren, Tomas Sanchez, Raul Sanchez, Amando Sanchez, Ashley Nicole Sanchez, Cesar Sanchez Jr., Marissa Sanchez, Samantha Sanchez, and Lynette Sanchez; sisters, Yolanda (Enrique) Navarro and Esmeralda (Aldredo Noe) Fernandez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 8:45 from Gamez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services to Santa Rita de Casia Catholic Church, where a mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Funeral home opens at 7:00 a.m. Cremation will be held at a later date.

In accordance with city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited to 50 percent occupancy capacity. Please feel free to wait in your vehicle for a turn if funeral home reaches capacity. All visitors must wear a face mask before entering the building and use hand sanitizer provided upon entry. Visitors must provide their own face covering.  Anyone that is knowingly sick or has upper respiratory illness is asked to stay home and may be denied entry. Similar or more stringent guidelines are applicable at the church and cemetery. Please check directly with the church and cemetery for their COIVD guidelines.
