Yolanda Valencia Ramirez

Mrs. Yolanda Valencia Ramirez, beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend and educator entered into eternal rest on Dec. 15, 2017. Mrs. Ramirez was born in Los Angeles, California and was class of 65, graduate of Roosevelt high school. She became actively involved with school organizations, having been elected PTA president of John Z Leyendecker elementary school during the late 70's. She’s studied child development at Laredo Junior College working as a substitute and home-bound teacher for LISD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy I. Ramirez, son, Edward E. Ramirez, her parents: Andrew Valencia and Cecelia Palomarez, and siblings: Louie, Gloria, Victor, Gigi and Bobby.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Eloy I. Ramirez Jr. & Angel F. (Camelia) Ramirez, grandchildren: Sabrina Ramirez & Edward Ramirez Jr., siblings: Priscilla, Artie, Philip, Gonzalo, Cecelia, Mary Helen, Diane, and Ruben, sister in law, Concepcion Medina, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services where a rosary will commence at 7:00p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00am. Interment will follow immediately at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veterans Section.

Funeral services are under the arrangements of Gámez & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1029 Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas 78043. FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE PLEASE TURN RIGHT AT THE  VALERO ON BEN CHA DR AND USE THE BACK ROAD TO THE FUNERAL HOME .
